Type specimen: IVy 0141, a valve (Left valve, internal mold). Its type locality is Pifu, Yanyuan County, which is in an Induan/Olenekian marine horizon in the Lamei Formation of China.
Ecology: stationary semi-infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Pifu, Yanyuan County
