Sister taxa: Pseudomyoconcha lombardica, Pseudomyoconcha qinghaiensis
Type specimen: IVy 0209, a valve (Left valve, internal mold). Its type locality is Shuitangzhai, Gejiu City, which is in an Anisian marine horizon in the Gejiu Formation of China.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Shuitangzhai, Gejiu City
