Type specimen: ROM 41993, a partial skeleton (skull, one forefin, both coracoids, 35 vertebrae, and numerous ribs). Its type locality is Flipper Quarry, which is in a Norian marine horizon in Canada.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Flipper Quarry
