Belongs to Eophyllites according to Y. G. Wang and G. L. Chen 1979
Sister taxa: Eophyllites ascoldiensis, Eophyllites crassus, Eophyllites dieneri, Eophyllites orientalis, Eophyllites ziyunensis
Type specimen: NIGP 34054. Its type locality is Changma River Yu II-211-F-12, Maqen County, which is in a Spathian marine horizon in the Bayankalashan Formation of China.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Changma River Yu II-211-F-12, Maqen County
