Sister taxa: Lethamia collina, Lethamia condaminensis, Lethamia hillae, Lethamia ligurritus, Lethamia obscurus

Type specimen: GSQ F13478, a shell (Conjoined shell dorsal aspect external mold). Its type locality is GSQ D158, Spring Creek, which is in an Artinskian marine siliciclastic in the Yarrol Formation of Australia.
