Sister taxa: Dunedinites maduoensis, Dunedinites magnumbilicatus
Type specimen: GSC 14287. Its type locality is GSC 42372, Dunedin River, which is in a Dienerian marine siliciclastic in the Grayling Formation of Canada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 54.0
Distribution: found only at GSC 42372, Dunedin River
