Type specimen: SAM P24560, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Lunatic Hill opal field, which is in an Aptian/Albian coastal mudstone in the Bulldog Shale Formation of Australia.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Lunatic Hill opal field
