Sister taxa: Langobardisaurus rossii, Langobardisaurus tonelloi
Type specimen: MCSNB 2883, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Cene, Seriana Valley, which is in an Alaunian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Zorzino Limestone Formation of Italy.
