Type specimen: Rh-E.F. 9001, 9002, 9003, a skeleton (almost complete skeleton). Its type locality is en Nammoûra, upper quarry (unit 3b), which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal wackestone in Lebanon.
