Sister taxon: Eosuchus lerichei

Type specimen: YPM 282, a partial skull (fragmentary skull and vertebrae). Its type locality is Shark River, which is in a Ypresian coastal sandstone in the Manasquan Formation of New Jersey.

• Paleocene of United States (3: Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia)
