Type specimen: MSU 3293, a skull (skull & partial skeleton). Its type locality is Eothoracosaurus mississippiensis type locality, which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Ripley Formation of Mississippi.

Ecology: planktonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (3: Mississippi, Tennessee collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
