Sister taxon: Steneosaurus barettoni

Type specimen: MGGC 8846/1UCC123b, MGGC 8846/1UCC123a, MPPPL 35, MPPPL 39, a partial skull. Its type locality is Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, which is in a Bajocian/Bathonian carbonate packstone in the Rosso Ammonitico Veronese Formation of Italy.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella
