Sister taxon: Grinnellaspis feildeni
Type specimen: NFM F-170, a pygidium. Its type locality is BH-55-93, which is in a Jeffersonian peritidal lime mudstone/wackestone in the Boat Harbour Formation of Canada.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
Distribution:
• Ordovician of Canada (1: Newfoundland collection), Norway (1)
• Cassinian of Canada (1: Newfoundland and Labrador)
• Jeffersonian of Canada (7: Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador)
Total: 10 collections each including a single occurrence
