Type specimen: USNM 165874, a hindwing. Its type locality is Carapace Nunatak, which is in a Toarcian pond mudstone in the Mawson Formation of Antarctica.
Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore
Distribution: found only at Carapace Nunatak
