Type specimen: UFRGS PV393P, a partial skeleton (partial cranium and unprepared postcranium). Its type locality is Barro Alto, Tiarajú District, which is in a Roadian/Capitanian terrestrial conglomerate in the Rio do Rasto Formation of Brazil.

Distribution: found only at Barro Alto, Tiarajú District
