Type specimen: UHR19875, a valve (dorsal valve external mold). Its type locality is Kitsunezaki-sawa River, Locality 2, Nabekoshi Mountain, Kesennuma City, which is in a Changhsingian marine sandstone in the Toyoma Formation of Japan.
