Type specimen: MNRJ-4040-V, a set of limb elements (Proximal portion of the right tarsometatarsus). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
