Type specimen: Its type locality is Yangtzeconus priscus - Archaeospira ornata assemblage, Yangtze Gorge, Yichang, which is in a Tommotian carbonate phosphorite in the Huangshandong Formation of China
Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal grazer
Distribution:
• Cambrian of China (1 collection), the Russian Federation (1)
