Sister taxa: Timanotrypa australis, Timanotrypa foliata, Timanotrypa stelliporata
Type specimen: PIN 1692/548. Its type locality is Mar'ina Gora Village, Pinega River, Arkhangel Region, which is in a Roadian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
