Sister taxon: Metriophyllum ilitschense
Type specimen: Ru1087. Its type locality is Zhagan Chulu, Liutiagou Formation, Bayan Wulan, Jalaid Qi, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Liutiagou Formation of China.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Zhagan Chulu, Liutiagou Formation, Bayan Wulan, Jalaid Qi
