Type specimen: NMB 211, a shell. Its type locality is PRI station 3139, Bucaru-Punta Guanico, which is in a Priabonian coastal sandstone in the Tonosí Formation of Panama.

Ecology: facultatively mobile shallow infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at PRI station 3139, Bucaru-Punta Guanico
