Type specimens:
- Obtusoconus honorabilis: Its type locality is Tianzhushan, upper bed, which is in a Meishucunian marine phosphorite in the Huangshandong Formation of China
- Lapworthella xianfengensis: PIN 4552/213 (spicule). Its type locality is Xianfeng Settlement, 60 km from Kunming, which is in a Meishucunian/Tommotian carbonate dolomite/dolomite in the Dengying Formation of China.

Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal detritivore
Distribution:
• Cambrian of China (10 collections)
