Type specimen: MIWG 7090, a tegmen. Its type locality is Atherfield, Isle of Wight, which is in an Aptian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Vectis Formation of the United Kingdom.

Distribution: found only at Atherfield, Isle of Wight
