Sister taxon: Etheridgea australis

Type specimen: GSQI31, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Carrington Brick Company's clay pit, St Peter's (Dunstan collection), which is in a Pelsonian/Illyrian pond claystone in the Ashfield Shales Formation of Australia.
