Type specimen: University of Ife, Natural History Museum, P.1, a skull. Its type locality is Gilbedi Hills, Rima River, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial shale in the Dukamaje Formation of Nigeria.

Distribution: found only at Gilbedi Hills, Rima River
