Type specimens:
- Uruguaysuchus aznarezi: CA (unnumbered), a partial skeleton (A complete skull, mandible, right forelimb, 18 vertebrae, both ilia and partial right hindlimb, as well as a few associated osteoderms). Its type locality is Guichón (water well), which is in a Cenomanian/Santonian fluvial sandstone in the Guichón Formation of Uruguay.
- Uruguaysuchus terrai: CA (unnumbered), a skull (Complete mandible and skull in articulation). Its type locality is Guichón (water well), which is in a Cenomanian/Santonian fluvial sandstone in the Guichón Formation of Uruguay.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at Guichón (water well)
