Sister taxa: Rugopimpla angusticella, Rugopimpla fallax, Rugopimpla macra, Rugopimpla matrona, Rugopimpla vulgaris
Type specimen: BP/2/27390, an exoskeleton (complete female). Its type locality is Orapa (Bernard Price Institute), which is in a Turonian lacustrine - large mudstone in Botswana.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Orapa (Bernard Price Institute)
