Sister taxon: Congosaurus compressus
Type specimen: MRAC 1741-1743, 1745, 1796, 1797, 1802, 1803, 1806, 1809-1811, 1813-1819, 1823, 1828, 1839, 1852, 1854, 1870, 1871, 1887, 1894 and 1895, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Landana cliffs (layer 8), which is in a Selandian marine sandstone/shale in the Landana Formation of Angola.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at Landana cliffs (layer 8)
