Type specimen: MNHN GDF 401, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Niveau des Innocents, Gadoufaoua, which is in an Aptian terrestrial horizon in the Elrhaz Formation of Niger.

Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Niveau des Innocents, Gadoufaoua
