Sister taxon: Petrolestes messelensis
Type specimen: UCM 15619, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Station 22, Roan Plateau, which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large diatomite in the Green River Formation of Colorado.
Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of United States (2: Colorado collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
