Sister taxa: Ischnoptera gedanensis, Ischnoptera klebsi, Ischnoptera perplexa, Ischnoptera provisionalis

Type specimen: UCM-4526a, an exoskeleton (whole cockroach). Its type locality is Florissant, Station 13B, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Florissant, Station 13B
