Type specimen: LPM 000666, a skeleton (Complete skeleton with fine skin impressions). Its type locality is Zhuanchengzi, near Yizhou, which is in a Barremian/Aptian terrestrial horizon in the Yixian Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Zhuanchengzi, near Yizhou
