Sister taxon: Comelicothyris recticardinis
Type specimen: MDTF54. Its type locality is Sass di Putia, Bed PK53, which is in a Changhsingian open shallow subtidal wackestone in the Bellerophon Formation of Italy.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Permian of Italy (3 collections)
