Sister taxa: Lebia amissa, Lebia harrelli, Lebia minuscula, Lebia newberryi
Type specimen: USNM 66928, an elytra. Its type locality is USGS 17-3; Smith's Ranch, in the vicinity of Cathedral Bluffs, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large shale in the Green River Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at USGS 17-3; Smith's Ranch, in the vicinity of Cathedral Bluffs
