Type specimen: USNM 488651, a valve (right valve). Its type locality is USNM9260, Episkopi, Hydra Island, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine packstone/wackestone in the Episkopi Formation of Greece.
Ecology: epifaunal
Distribution: found only at USNM9260, Episkopi, Hydra Island
