Sister taxa: Levinotothyris dmitrievi, Levinotothyris salomonense
Type specimen: PIN 2228/1001, a shell. Its type locality is Mamazair River Basin, which is in an Artinskian marine limestone in the Kizildjilginskii Formation of Tajikistan.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
