Type specimen: UW 4602, a set of limb elements (propodial and two sets of articulated epipodials with other elements). Its type locality is Gas Hills area 70km west of Casper (Megalneusaurus rex type locality), which is in an Oxfordian marine sandstone in the Sundance Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Gas Hills area 70km west of Casper (Megalneusaurus rex type locality)
