Type specimen: PIN 2554/218, a forewing (complete but poorly preserved). Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2554), which is in a Kimmeridgian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.
