Belongs to Hesperocoelia according to R. S. Bassler 1927
Sister taxon: Hesperocoelia typicalis
Type specimen: Its type locality is IK-3 Ikes Canyon sponge beds, Toquima Range, which is in a Rangerian carbonate limestone in the Antelope Valley Formation of Nevada.
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Whiterockian of United States (1: California collection)
• Ordovician of United States (1: Nevada)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
