Type specimen: BMNH I.8649, a wing (coto-apical wing fragment). Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Brodie coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of the United Kingdom (3 collections)
