Sister taxon: Cernictis hesperus
Type specimen: UALP 8079, a mandible (left mandibular fragment with p2-m1, alveolus for the m2). Its type locality is White Cone, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Bidahochi Formation of Arizona.
Ecology: scansorial carnivore-omnivore
Distribution: found only at White Cone
