Sister taxa: Glyptosteges angustus, Glyptosteges insculptus, Glyptosteges intricatus, Glyptosteges sulcatus
Type specimen: TBR 407. Its type locality is Huai Tak 16F, Lampang Province, which is in a Changhsingian marine shale in the Huai Tak Formation of Thailand.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Permian of Thailand (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
