Type specimen: OU 22402, a limb element (left humerus). Its type locality is J40/f223 - Waihao River floodplain [Kauru Fm], which is in a Waipawan/Mangaorapan coastal sandstone in the Kauru Formation of New Zealand.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at J40/f223 - Waihao River floodplain [Kauru Fm]
