Sister taxon: Homopterulum signoretii
Type specimen: NMVP 102676, a nymph (exuviae of third instar, with parts of head and thorax missing). Its type locality is NMVPL425, Koonwarra, which is in an Aptian pond claystone/siltstone in Australia.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at NMVPL425, Koonwarra
