Belongs to Dioctria according to S. E. Lewis 1972
Sister taxa: Dioctria florissantina, Dioctria pulveris
Type specimen: B 134, a wing. Its type locality is Ruby River, between Peterson and Morman Creeks, which is in a Whitneyan lacustrine shale in the Renova Formation of Montana.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Ruby River, between Peterson and Morman Creeks
