Type specimen: LACM 18262, a limb element (proximal end of left carpometacarpus). Its type locality is LACM 1945, which is in a Langhian/Serravallian marine siltstone in the Monterey Formation of California.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at LACM 1945
