Sister taxa: Zygites delphinula, Zygites laevigatus, Zygites qingyanensis, Zygites rotundinodosus
Type specimen: GQ81047. Its type locality is Yinshanpo KC260a, Qingyan, which is in a Pelsonian/Illyrian marine shale/marl in the Qingyan Formation of China.
Ecology: epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at Yinshanpo KC260a, Qingyan
