Sister taxon: Compsoneura formosa

Type specimen: MNHN.F.R51206, an exoskeleton (almost complete hindwings, remnant of forewing, and abdomen). Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN Brongniart coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.

Distribution: found only at Commentry (MNHN Brongniart coll)
