Type specimen: PIMUZ T.4329, a skeleton. Its type locality is Besano, Tessin collection, Monte San Giorgio, which is in an Illyrian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/shale in the Besano Formation of Italy.

Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Besano, Tessin collection, Monte San Giorgio
