Sister taxon: Shuotherium dongi
Type specimen: IVPP V7467, a tooth (upper molar). Its type locality is Shilong-zhai, which is in a Bathonian/Callovian terrestrial breccia/mudstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.
Ecology: scansorial insectivore
Distribution: found only at Shilong-zhai
